WORLD BUILDING
In English, we developed our own original worlds and told meaningful stories that connected to real-world events. We studied multiple works, but the most prominent was 1984.
This allowed us to develop our own original stories for our world building project. As a group, we came up with a unique setting, characters, conflict and arc. I really loved this project! I enjoy reading & writing, so to be able to exercise this skill for a school project was neat.
Our project is called, “COUNTERFEIT” and it follows a group of four (Jett, Eden, Aster, and Regina) who are all students at The Academy of CALEDONIA. People in CALEDONIA get their magic from THE COLONNADE. After a tense night at the Gala that ends with the four breaking THE COLONNADE, they’re now tasked to a find a solution to the sudden curse forced upon them!
As apart of this project, we had to do some research. I chose to research Emotional Support Animals, as the characters in our story have FAMILIARS, that kind of act as ESA’s.


My main argument was on researching the different elements of support animals, and how using this knowledge, could we incorporate some struggles or lessons into our world.
