This image captures the essence of the town but it is darkened and the focus of the image is the sunset on the horizon
Twin Peaks

This weeks photo challenge was to open your eyes to a new perspective by changing up your viewpoint. Now I decided to do this as well as actually capture a viewpoint as you can see. I hiked up Twin Peaks this past weekend in San Fransisco to see the sunset. I played with multiple different lenses as well as points to take my image. I finally decided on this image which I took at the top of the peak on top of a rock, gaining the most height possible. I especially like this piece because it isn’t just the city, it is actually more of the coast then the city as it is where the sun rises and falls. I went with my boyfriend and he loves to see the city lights after its dark and see all the buildings, rather I preferred the view on the other side of the mountain that was closer to the ocean. The winding road also adds a lot of dimension to the image.
