This is a photo of a particularly tasty breakfast I had. The strawberries are positioned inward to point towards the doughnut, creating a natural frame and a zigzag line of emphasis. The doughnut itself has rings leading inward toward the central hole, strengthening the effect of the leading lines.
I thought that I was pretty clever for this one. I initially had no idea what to do to incorporate food into a composition with leading lines as a focus, but once I saw the strawberries on the plate, it all became clear. I figured the doughnut having a bite in it would enhance the image a little bit by adding some imperfection and irregularity.
The breakfast was delicious.
