Warriors
Inspiration for this photo was very spontaneous. During a day trip to Santa Cruz with some friends, an epic battle arose between to stick-wielding combatants. I instantly had the idea to frame them in a dramatic photograph, because it would be a disservice to the entire world if the duel went unrecorded.
I framed two fighters as occupying both vertices as outlined by the rule of thirds, with their heads also landing on the top horizontal line. I wanted them framed this way to imply that they were evenly matched as fighters, and that one had no clear advantage over the other since they were both bound eternally to equal compositional framing.
