The concept of weight and mass can be interpreted in one of a few ways when in relation to photography, as it can be viewed as either literal weight or visual weight, which is when an object dominates a composition through contrast and drawing the viewer’s eye to itself.
To achieve visual weight in this photograph, made the subject very dark and lit from the back to form a strong and striking silhouette. The bottom of the photo is darker than the top part where the head of the skeleton is, to draw more focus to the juxtaposition of dark and light between the head and the background lights.
I liked taking this photo and I like the outcome, it is very spooky.
