Convergence
The shoreline represents the ultimate marriage of all of the elements- water crashes upon the earth in the form of waves, eroding and sculpting the cliffside. The fire of the sun bakes the water and lifts it into the air as vaporous clouds. Every shoreline is a masterpiece of natural phenomena and a symphony of elemental collision.
In this photo, I wanted to illustrate how the different elements interacted with each other by capturing the process in motion, which was why harsh waves and thick clouds were important to the shot. Had the sea been calm and the sky clear, the photo would not have communicated the desired message, so I guess I count myself lucky that the weather was so nice.
