Center-Frame Portrait

Posted on January 24, 2025May 18, 2025 by jerryl
This photo portrays a frustrated girl in the center that is about to open a door.
50mm, f/3.2, ISO 800, 1/64

Our goal with this photo blog was to portray the feeling of loneliness through center frame composition. When I was doing the photoshoot for my Narrative Mise-En Scene Project, this was one of the photos that I took but never actually used. I felt like this was a perfect example because I had my classmate Anna act frustrated in this scene because no one is willing to help her, which depicts loneliness and tension.

Then I edited this photo in photoshop by slightly lowering the saturation because the colors was too intense, and I cropped the image to make it more center-framed.
