Here comes my favorite part: Getting to have a nice Chinese dumpling meal with my entire family.

This Photo Blog of mine is about my favorite holiday: Chinese New Year. Every Chinese New Year, we get to eat a lot of food, and get red envelopes that wish us good luck.

Since this Photo Blog is about balance in Holiday traditions, I decided to put a folded dumpling in the middle of my bamboo plate thing, and take a close up, symmetrical shot of the dumpling. Although Chinese New Year isn’t today, I still thought it was a good idea to take a photo of this, because we decided today was also a good day to eat some dumplings.

My original photo of this was slightly darker, so I decided to use the Screen blend mode in Adobe Photoshop to slightly lighten up the dumpling to place more emphasis on it.

And of course, the best part of every meal is about the argument on who gets the last one.
