Tell A Lie

My friend Jaidyn "stepping" on Justin
50mm, ISO 100, f/16, 1/100

This photo I took was inspired by one of the photography exercises I did in 8th grade called “Forced Perspective.” This is essentially creating an optical illusion through photography to trick the viewer into thinking what is happening in the photo whereas what is actually happening in the photo is different. Here, I had my friend Jaidyn stand close to the camera and lift her foot up, and I had my other friend Justin lie on the ground faraway, to make it look like Jaidyn is about to step on Justin. After taking the photo, I edited the photo in Photoshop by cropping out any extra space in the photo, and editing the lighting using curves because the original photo was a bit dim.
