In Digital Media we used our skills in Illustrator and After Effects to make a 3d Multi-Layered Art Project.

For my project, I decided to make my lightbox show a scene of two friends driving away from the Mountains and one standing up in their car feeling the wind in their hair. In the distance, you can see the setting sun as the clouds start to disappear. I chose this theme because standing up in cars allows one to forget their worries for a few seconds and enjoy the rush and adrenaline.

Artist Statement

For this project, I took inspiration from magical moments in life. More specify the moment when you stand up in a car. The wind in your hair, your heart skipping beats as the adrenaline rages through your body. My biggest struggle was creating the final 3d video. My AI file would not import in After effects but, after experimenting at home, I figured it out which made me very proud. 

If I would change something about the project I would have included more dark space to convey the unknown and better show shadows. I am most proud of the skills I learned when 3d animating. I am excited to use my new skills in future Freestyle projects.
