Leading Lines

ISO 100 Shutter Speed 50

For tis photo we were given the task of using leading lines- a way to direct the eyes of a viewer toward an object of thing of relevance- to instead create the trick of infinity within a photo.

I have actually done this several times with photographs of my own, and I always enjoyed the illusion. I however had a more difficult time trying to find a new object to se. I opted for a metal bench due to it’s solid strong lines, as seen in the phot their round corners are distinct and often colored with particular stains.

It took me many tries to get the photo which is now seen here, which demonstrates the desired goal. As seen here the line- being the mildly stained bench corners, directs the mind further down the length of the metal bench. This line continues until off the edge of the photo, creating an infinity sort of illusion. I would have preferred a more in focus image however I am happy with how this is formed.
