[Tell the story of a new beginning.]
The New Year started off with me exploring some abandoned buildings with a friend. We had never hung out before, and hadn’t spoken in nearly five months. I realized more than ever that he was a really cool guy and that I wanted to get to know him more.
These buildings also reminded me of the prompt about new beginnings. They were all left in 2007, judging by the documents left in there, meaning that they’ve been empty for nearly as long as I’ve been alive. I thought it was a good way to start the year, by looking back!
(But it was freezing that night, and the ground was flooded because of the rain. Then, some of the roof was falling in because of the lack of support from the building, and one of the other buildings’ had actually already caved in.)
