About Me

My name is Logan Nilotruong, and I’m a film student spending my first year at Freestyle Academy. As of now, my dream career is being either a screenwriter or cinematographer, but as I work on more projects I might change my focus.

In terms of core values, things such as resilience, achievement, consistency, dependability, and persistence are important to me. I find that goals should be achieved through hard work, and that setbacks should be able to be handled well.

Outside of school, I enjoy playing piano, practicing martial arts, and dancing–I’m actually a part of a dance studio’s official youth performance group. Other than these, I also volunteer often for community projects, such as setting up for local festivals or planting and taking care of trees.

Since I’m starting a bit late as a 1st year senior, I know that I definitely won’t be as adapted to the course as my peers. However, I’m very excited to work on these new projects, as I’ve never really done anything like them before. I’m also motivated to learn as much as I can in my already limited time here. As of now, my knowledge of how to operate the various Adobe apps and my understanding of the artistic process has already grown so much since the school year started. I’m confident that the next few months will develop my technical and artistic skills as I continue to use this software and create more art pieces.

The thing I value the most about being a Freestyle student is the creative environment it fosters. I always have someone to get advice from or be inspired by, and collaboration is really encouraged.
