For this photo, I actually took it as a test shot while adjusting camera settings. I ended up really liking the lighting, and I wasn’t able to recreate it, so I kept it and edited it to better fit the prompt. A compositional balance can be seen, with the subject and foreground roughly taking up the same amount of space, but what I especially focused on in this was a balance between light and shadow—not only was this something that naturally showed up in the photo, it’s also something I associate with renaissance art, and something I focused on heavily in my photography classes.
