This was the last unit in English, and (shockingly) challenged us to produce any form of media featuring humor.
We started out the unit reading and analyzing Kurt Vonnegut’s “Slaughterhouse Five”. We were taught to identify, define, and eventually use comedic techniques. Before producing the humor project, we wrote analyses on two humorists and reflected on what techniques we were interested in using.
For the final humor production, I teamed up with Aramis Duenas and Amanda Jernigan. We decided to produce a short narrative film, revolving around an exasperated job interviewer and the ridiculous interviewees she meets.
I played the interviewer, and Aramis Duenas played all of the interviewees.
