For this photo, we used composition to create the feeling of watching something from a particular point of view. I knew I wanted to incorporate grass into the photo as an interesting framing device, and ultimately decided to shoot the photo as if it was from the perspective of a bug (or maybe the rabbits in my backyard; my dogs are more interested in those) looking up at my dog, Mikey. Originally, I was going to use my other dog Stella for this, but she wasn’t very cooperative, so I had to convince Mikey with a treat.
