When I think of the prompt, color without color, I look back to when TVs, movies, and cartoons were all in black and white. Despite the lack of color during these times, people would tell their stories and tales using these black and white mediums. Because of how normal it is to see color in these mediums now, we often forget that the absence of color can work to communicate a story in its own way.

In this photo I took, I imagine that the old man alone in the tennis court is reminiscing his past as a tennis player. Although he is sad he is not able to play like he used to do to his age, the tennis court is still his home. As he is hitting the ball across the court, he remembers the feeling of victory during the state finals in the summer of 1967. Although he feels sad that his tennis days are over, he is grateful for the experiences he gained through it. The black and white effect adds on to this nostalgic effect, as if this pohoto was taken in the old days.
