For the last several years, my sister has made an annual tradition of baking a Buche de Noel every Christmas for our family to enjoy. It’s an absolutely beautiful dessert that she puts hours upon hours of work into, and also happens to appear extremely balanced in presentation. I decided to photograph this year’s Buche de Noel for this prompt not only to immortalize my sister’s effort, but to appreciate the beauty of this dessert.
