For this prompt, I looked for flowers that I found uniquely striking or interesting in some way. I took the photograph above because I absolutely love the flowers in the center, for not only their beautiful reddish-pink color, but also for their shape and the yellowish color and dashed pattern they have on some of their petals that serve as a perfect accent to the red. I also found the placement of the flowers really compelling, as the juxtaposition of the elegant flowers with the plain irrigation pipe offers an element of contrast to the photo.
