Though there is nothing particularly serene about clock towers, I felt that the combination of the beautiful, elegant detailing around the clock and the crisp blue sky surrounding it made for an oddly soothing scene. It is as if the clock exists in a peaceful void, where you can be left to appreciate its craftsmanship and watch the time tick by.
