Stranger

50mm, ISO 1600, f3.5, 1/3158

Shown in this photo is the window display of a thrift store, featuring an item of clothing, some flowers, and jewelry. I captured this image because when I first saw it, it felt almost like a memory. The reflections in the window add an element of color yet haziness, making you have to squint ever so slightly to see the composition underneath. I also felt that these items in and of themselves tell the story of a stranger, someone who has donated away relics of an era of their (or their loved ones’) lives long past.
