My name is Quinn and I am an animation 1 student in Freestyle this year. Some of my hobbies are walking local trails, cooking (I am not good at it), watching gaming on Twitch and Youtube, and hanging out with my friends. I have a dog and a cat who I love spending time with.
Digital art appeals to me because of the way you can manipulate color to fit the exact palette you desire, creating art teeming with fluorescence and contrast. Also, I am very much into drawing gore and am fascinated with human anatomy. Modern artists on platforms like webcomics and Youtube are my greatest influence; my favorite artist of all time is Michelle Fus, the creator of Ava’s Demon. I’ve been following the progression of her comic for 5 years now and it has been my endless inspiration, the reason I picked up digital painting, and the reason I have never stopped drawing.
One thing that really stands out to me about Freestyle is how integrated all of our classes are. We do photography in Digital Media that is influenced by poem writing in English, then learn how to record audio so we can create a video focused on it. I feel very fortunate that I have the opportunity to use all of the Freestyle equipment such as the drawing tablet, mic, camera, and Adobe library.
