Personal Essay
My personal essay was about my experience with joining a club in freshman year and what it taught me about how to interact with my peers. I started writing it with the goal of showing my creative process and how I came out of my shell, but as I worked on it, I started to realize how much that experience taught me about the value of collaboration. Once I realized that, I focused in on it, which helped me make my essay cohesive and more authentically “me”. I’m pretty proud of the essay, and I think I did a good job at answering the question of who I am in a way that makes sense, shows my values, and is well-written.
