My mom is learning how to play the cello, and I took this picture as she was practicing in front of a large window. I chose a low angle and a close-up view in order to really bring focus to the light shining through the leaves outside onto the cello. I really like how this picture turned out. I like that the sea foam couch in the background pops against the orange of the cello, and I like how the shadow on the cello tints purple in parts because of the reflection of the sky. I think the dappled light is really pretty and the glow of the sun on the wood looks really nice to me. I didn’t even need to edit any of the pictures– the light just did that on its own.
I also included another picture I took in the same sitting, since I just couldn’t decide which one I liked better.
