This picture is about the current spike in AI art technology. This has caused a lot of fear for me as someone looking for a career in the arts. I’ve spent years building my digital art skills, and it’s really scary that it might become obsolete. I wanted to show how long it would take to recreate an image that can be created in seconds with an AI image generator, entirely for free. I waited until dark and turned off all the lights so that the two screens were the only focal points. I then put in a prompt and roughly started recreating it in Procreate. I wanted the picture to look like it was from my own perspective (as in, seen from my physical eyes).
