I don’t like this photograph. Every time I look at it I think it is badly put together and ruins the appeal of the cherry blossom tree. The not-quite-focused lens, the distracting background, the awkward background peeking in at the top left corner, the overall lack of balance, bad lighting, it all frustrates me. This is my honest, unfiltered opinion of this filterless photo. It frustrates me to think that I could have done any other type of twist with this prompt, and it makes me want to go outside and re-do this prompt. But instead, I’m going to sit with the discomfort of looking at this thing every time I update or check my website, because it’s a very real showcase of failure.
