I visited the Hakone Gardens in Saratoga and saw these flowers laying peacefully in the water fountain. They looked so elegant and calm, and it is such a musical image for me: I imagine them telling a story or singing, maybe about when they were brought together or when they know they will grow apart. Even the browning parts seemed like an intentional part of their song, it makes them seem less superficial or set-up. In this way, by accepting who they are and who they will be, they exhibit both Sincerity and Serenity to me.
