Photo Blog #27-Exit

Aperture: 22, Shutter Speed:1/165, ISO: 3200

This is the last Photo Blog of the year, and instead of forcing myself to quickly take new ones, I wanted to give myself a chance to go back on all of the photos I’ve taken. I often disregard my photos right after I take them and only come to appreciate them until the very end, I find that this is a common practice for many people (“you don’t know what you have until you lose it” sound familiar?). This is one of my favorite ones: I really love the soft glowy quality to it (courtesy of the high ISO and nice backlighting), the towering but glorious angle of the gateway, welcoming you into a new world. It feels almost surreal. I also feel it truly encompasses the prompt of this week: “Every exit is an entry to somewhere else”. This gate feels like it is promising an adventure, welcoming you to explore the new secrets you have yet to uncover.
