Depth of Field

Posted on March 17, 2021March 25, 2021 by x

I’m not sure exactly when it started, but I’ve begun collecting old postcards (from my parents or others) and taping them onto the back of my dresser, where it faces my desk. It started off a just a place to put them, but as I collect more and more, it’s started to feel more like a cork-board of my inspirations. My favorite one is a postcard with the Birth of Venus, conveniently hidden behind my subject: the watermelon Monster Energy can. Both of the pieces shown in this photo are weird, quirky, and contradictory decorations I keep in my space. I like to think the fact they clash horribly is the point.
