The inspiration for this photo was film noir and some of the themes old movies portray. I took this photo on a school trip with my friends, and I edited it once I got home. The setting was just so perfect, with the high ceilings and grand fixtures, while also not drawing attention away from the two sillouettes. A common character in noir films is the “femme fatale,” a mysterious and seductive woman who leads men away from their goals. I have always been interested in this character and wanted to show her in this photo. I used silouettes here to convey the mystery of these two characters.
