I took this picture while doing a dance photoshoot with a close friend. We had just watched a couple clips of the ballet Swan Lake, and both wanted to take some photos inspired by the production. I really wanted to highlight the water as well as my friend. I decided to keep her legs out of it to give it a more ethereal look, having her directly framed against the water. She has no visible contact to land, which really relates to the themes in Swan Lake.
