For this week’s prompt, we were tasked to tell a story that radiates warmth. This picture does that literally, but its figurative connotations are far more important. I took this picture while sitting in my backyard at night. My uncle was visiting my grandma here in California, so he stopped by and had a social distance meal with us. I was very grateful to simply spend time outside, socializing with my family, not stressing out about how much work I had to do. My mom lit this candle to make our table setting more fancy, and it was warm and smelled like cinnamon. I used a low shutter speed and waved the flame in order to get such a large, spiky looking fire.
