Leading Lines

Photo of a seafood dish I had in Porto, Portugal. This week we were challenged to create leading lines with food and I found a photo of a meal I had in Portugal where the composition of the potatoes on either side and the bass and squid down the middle along with the placement of the fork and spoon and the circle shape of the plate.

Lighting

My friend Roo laughing because I'm really funny. This week we were challenged to take a photo and use our speedlite in the process. With this photo taken with my speedlite I captured a beautiful moment; true happiness and I was very pleased with how the composition and lighting highlighted the mood.

Negative Space

Out of the airplane window flying from Paris to London. This week we were challenged to take a photo of a landscape showcasing negative space. My friend Abby sitting in some grass by the Stevens Creek Trail. This week we were challenged to create a center frame portrait that exhibits loneliness. Leading Lines

This photo was taken on my own DSLR in the Palace of Versailles in France last summer. This week we were challenged to take a photo using leading lines and I decided to choose a photo I took last year with leading lines in the ceiling and in the posts coming down from the ceiling.

Symmetry Landscape

A lamppost in my apartment complex. This week we were challenged to use symmetry in the landscape to create a new viewpoint. I took this picture because I thought the way the path diverged was an interesting form of symmetry and it balanced well with the lamppost.
