This quarter was our World building unit. This was all about creating a story either about our world, or a fictional one. Our first project was a research essay. We chose social issues that we were passionate about. My topic was the “Troubled Teen Industry.” After this, we collaborated with our groups to create a fictional world and pitch an idea for a story. We wrote a treatment for a television show called “Beyond the Forest.” This project was very fun because we had a lot of freedom, however this also led to some problems. Because there were no limits, we created many different side plots and character backstories. However, this also led to a lot of plot holes.
