This is the first film I ever made in Freestyle Film class. It is about going through changes and how it has impacted my life. For as long as I remember I’ve always been moving in my life. Whether it was school or house, I’ve never stayed in the same, stable place over three years until my Junior year in High School. I never liked moving and hated going through changes. Especially as a shy child I struggled to make connections to my surroundings quickly. Then coming into this year, I started to think changes might not only be bad. Changes are needed in order for people to grow, and it could bring good and better improvements in our lives. Perhaps changes could be seen differently depending on what perspective we take on it.
During this project, I wrote a script about the reflection in my life, learned how to use the sound recorder, came up with shot ideas, and learned how to use Premiere Pro for the first time. Special thanks to my brother and Fiona for helping me get some of the footage and coming up with the shot ideas. Also to my dad, Amanda and Bella for allowing me to film them.
