Ancient Chinese folklore rumors of a demon that lurks in the shadows of the XaiLee mountains. It is said that settlers of a nearby village would tell their youth to avoid the mysterious mountains, warning them to never wander off at night in fear of them having an encounter with Momofuku. Rumored to have the Firlungmai, or “jaw of a hundred teeth”, Momofuku devours its prey within seconds, licking children’s bones clean of meat in a gory flash. Of course, this is nothing more than a campfire story, used to make sure innocent children don’t put themselves at risk and wander into the mountains. But, you should never be too sure. By the time you’re certain Momofuku is there, it’s already too late.
