Tai Livnat – Composition | Shutterspeed: 1/1000, Aperture: 1.6, ISO: 100 On a recent trip to Refugio State Beach with family and friends, I noticed that Milo’s truck when opened in the back created a cool framing effect with whatever was outside. So, I decided to snap a picture.
Photo Blog #50: Using props
Tai Livnat – Composition | Shutterspeed: 1/200, Aperture: 4.5, ISO: 1000 For this image, I used the same props and set that were used in my senior narrative film. I thought the composition of the photo was cool, as well as the dutch tilt. Isaac was cookin.
Photo Blog #47: Creative staged + Depth of field
For this picture, I used my iphone’s panorama feature. If you look closely, you’ll notice that Nick actually appears in the photo twice. The double effect along with the leading lines of the fence and walking people makes this image something really special.
photo blog #45: Musical
I took this picture on one of the recent sunny days we had during the winter. To me, the joy on Milo’s face expresses an almost “musical” vibe.
photo blog #44: Viewpoint
I like this picture because it shows what my friend, Miguel, is experiencing from another person’s perspective.
Photo Blog #41: Color Theory

Lemi, … Continue reading “Photo Blog #41: Color Theory”
Photo Blog #38: Rule of Odds
Even though this picture ended up developing terribly, it is also one of my favorites. To me, the image feels almost like an almost forgotten memory, one that anyone can claim as their own. No faces, no locations, just three kids jumping in a tunnel.
Photo Blog #35: Rule of thirds emotion
I like this photo a lot because Emma (left) and Genie (right) both have their own rule of thirds set up. This makes it feel like there’s a lot going on in the picture, while still having a satisfying composition.
Photo Blog #32: FIll the frame
This is a picture of my friend Luke from a recent trip to Salinas. The combination of a simple nature background and a closeup of Luke gives this photo a “fill the frame” feel.
Photoblog #29: Facial Symmetry
This project was pretty interesting. It was odd to see my face symmetrical on both the right and left sides.
