For this photo blog, I took a image of a Chinese newspaper article reporting on Alyssa Liu’s recent visit to Oakland after winning gold medal at the winter olympics. Her mindset of “you can’t beat someone who’s having fun” really reasonated with me as a pianist, and is a mentality I use when I’m under lots of pressure to perform. For this photo, I experimented with different lighting until I could get the newspaper article to not look overly saturated.
