In Digital Media, we were tasked to create 2 funny compositions using multiple images. These photos weren’t supposed to make any sense, so I chose the most bizzare images, Maria Callas the opera singer, a Dinosaur, and a desert dune for my first image. For the second image, I found that the black and white keys of a piano keyboard looked similar to a crosswalk, so I combined the two images.
Overall, producing these funny images taught me to see objects differently, and to use Adobe Photoshop as a tool to modify objects visually.
Simple motion graphics
In the end of the 1st semester in Digital Media, we got to explore all the features of Adobe Aftereffects. Many of the features, like the audio visualizer, were really interesting to learn, and I was surprised by how many adjustments I could make within every special effect. Overall, learning the functions of AfterEffects has taught me many ways to make plain text or images look more interesting, which I look forward to applying to future projects.
Multi layered art project
In the multi layered art project, we were assigned to create a lightbox or wood engraving illustration based off our worldbuilding story. I chose the lightbox, and made mines of our worldbuilding spaceship as it crash lands onto the new alien planet and gets stranded. Along with that, I made a 3D assembly video which showed the layers of the lightbox up close.
