For this photo, I took a minifigure and placed a light facing away from it in order to create the maximum shadow. I experimented with various angels of the light source in order to make the shadow natural, as well as taking time to position the minifigure properly so that it could cast a shadow. I purposely left out a bit of the wall in the background to make it seem as if the minifigure is pondering into the unknown.
