Animation

In Animation, we used professional-grade programs to create and refine our own 3d models. We learned how to model from basic shapes using Maya, and how to make 3d sculptures with ZBrush.

Greek temple

Firstly, we went through the basics of Maya by combining multiple shapes to create a greek temple.

Fire Hydrants

Then we learned how to use the extrude and cut tool by modeling fire hydrants from a single object.

Character Body

Next, we created a quick character concept and modeled their body in Maya, which would later be refined in ZBrush. I wanted to create a slim and elegant axe-wielding vampire model for mine.

Skull Sculpt

To learn the basics of ZBrush, we sculpted a skull based on reference images.

The second ZBrush project was the character bust, which was a lot of fun. I accidentally spent a long time getting the ears right, and I wish I had more time to work on the hair.

Weapon Model

Finally, we used ZBrush to add details to a weapon we created in Maya! I can’t wait to get to assemble everything together.
