My mom has been working crazy hours at home. She’s in Zoom Meetings half the time, so I usually only see her during meals and nighttime.

For this week, the theme was the elements: Earth, Fire, Wind, Rain, and Spirit. I chose to work with earth, but the looseness of the picture could also tie into the wind.

In light of Thanksgiving coming up soon, this week was centered around gratitude. One of the many things I’m thankful for is my family still sticking together and having fun even during the pandemic. (It goes without saying that we always stay safe!)

For this week’s challenge, we were instructed to show who inspires us. Ever since I was little, I’ve devoured books and comics! They inspire me to create fantastical worlds, reflect on current issues, and try new things with my art. I’m the most fond of my comic and manga collection.

For this week’s photo challenge, we were told to tell a lie through the camera. I grabbed one of my Gengar plushies, brought it to my backyard, and framed it as if it were menacingly looking at the camera with a devilish grin. I used an emergency light to backlight it with a red hue.

To me, serenity is being entangled in life and nature, without a care in the world.

For this Photo Blog, we could take a picture of anything as long as we didn’t edit anything on it. I took a picture of my dog after she woke up because I really liked the way the lighting coming through the windows framed her figure.

It is easy to take an anonymous identity online. Whenever my brother plays Fortnite, he gets so immersed in the game he forgets there are other people in his house and shouts at his friends.
