Viewpoint

The theme was viewpoint, asking us to shoot this from the viewpoint of another person in order to create interest. I portrayed the attention my dog displays when shown one of his favorite toys, adjusting the color levels in order to replicate what he’d see since dogs are red-green colorblind.

Color Theory

For this week’s challenge, we had to use color adjustment to create movie-like pictures. I wanted to create a warm and dramatic scene by using color grading while enhancing my dog’s presence in the scene.

Fill the Frame

For this week, we had to fill the frame with a single color. I decided to frame my mom’s beautiful orchids in front of a blue background, highlighting its little variations of cyan and blue. I decided to keep the stems their original green to add some contrast.

Geometry

I was drawn to how you could see a plant’s silhouette through the windows. For this shot, I tilted my camera to get diagonal lines and frame a building’s geometry in a more interesting way.

Leading Lines in Food

For this photo challenge, we were supposed to use leading lines when photographing food. I arranged pita bread and falafel plates so they were both rotated diagonally, facing the camera, while also having the other plates parallel to them.
