Negative space can be powerful in an image. It gives the eye a place to rest, emphasizes textures and colors, and makes an object have a more profound presence in the composition of the photo. In this scene, I liked how the bronze of the pot complemented the rich green of the plant leaves, and chose to include the white background for a large part of the photo to further emphasize the harmony of these colors.
