This photograph was taken on Friday January 30th, 2026 at a student-organized protest against ICE. This event symbolized a new beginning for our community, as students collaborated together to exercise their rights in a peaceful way to share their opinions on the changing political landscape in the U.S. I believe that the subject in the right side of the frame symbolizes looking towards a new future and the students behind them are joining in on this shared vision of a new beginning.
