I was thinking a lot about Internet security and privacy around the time of this photo challenge. As such, when I found an old selfie of my dad and I from a few months ago, I was reminded of this week’s prompt. The main point I thought of was my impact on the digital world, how someone from China or Germany or Zimbabwe wouldn’t know me or anything about me. To them, I would be…anonymous. These photos of me, my family, my life would be completely odd and out of the ordinary to others outside of my small circle of acquaintances. It’s such an odd way to view the world, but I like how it makes me feel exclusive and secure.
