I’m really proud of my antique books. I’ve collected them from a variety of thrift shops, garage sales, and even family members (the plain tan book on the right is a collection of Shakespeare’s writing from my grandparent’s house – I think it’s from the late 1700s!). I redid my room recently and had to reorganize my bookshelves after I moved them to a different spot. It’s so satisfying to me to fit books together on a shelf, to lend their unique shapes to each other and fill a space, even to create angles when books don’t fit correctly. It’s a lovely example of geometry in photography, and it makes me happy.
