I really love the sharp, jagged slice of sky jutting through the canopy of trees in this photo. It reminds me a lot of middle school, which was around the time that I took this photo. I would spent a lot of my time stuck in a rut, unable to motivate myself to do work, stay healthy, or sometimes even get out of bed. However, once I started high school, started over with my group of friends, and started pursuing my passions more actively, it felt like I had cut through the gloom and discovered the blue sky that had been hidden the whole time.
