For this week, we were challenged to tell the story of a friend or family member. My family really stresses the importance of preserving stories and memories of people, even once they passed. One of my favorite things is listening to my grandpa tell stories about his childhood. One year for Christmas he gave us a CD where he recorded many stories, including about how his dad went to Iraq to teach people farming techniques. I think it’s interesting how physical objects can hold such value when they are associated with important people. I had fun playing with the depth of field for this one and focusing on what was actually important.
