The prompt for this photo was “modern convenience”. I am lucky to have access to so many, which made choosing just one for this photograph a bit difficult. In the end, I decided to choose the one that I will probably be using a lot next year in college: the microwave. Taking the photo itself was pretty simple. I tried a few different camera angles and positions but decided that I liked this one where the door sort of splits the composition in half. In photoshop, I did a bit of editing to even out the camera angle and work on the lighting. Overall, I think the composition is interesting and I like how the inside of the microwave glows, but I think I could have worked on the focus and angle of the photo a bit more when I was shooting it.
